Clash of Clans Witch

In Clash of Clans the Witch is the final troop unlocked in the Dark Barracks. Like all troops in the Dark Barracks she requires Dark Elixir to train. The Witch has a unique ability which is to summon Skeletons to fight alongside her.

The Witch has low health and therefore needs some protection before deploying. A good strategy is to deploy Giants or Golems first, drawing defense fire before deploying your witches.

The Witch will start to summon skeletons whilst she fights. Individually a Skeleton is quite weak, but in enough numbers the Skeletons can cause a significant amount of damage to walls and defenses and can quickly overrun a base.

Witches have only two research levels, probably because they were the last unit to be added to the game by Supercell. Upgrading from level 1 to 2 makes no difference to the skeleton statistics.

Witches are fairly expensive to build costing 250 to 350 Dark Elixir, depending on their level. Dark Elixir can be difficult to obtain in large quantities and it is therefore quite costly to train a large number of Witches.

Mortars and Wizard towers can make quick work of groups of Skeletons and Witches. Placing them near the center of your base will hopefully maximise their chances of destroying the skeletons before they hit your Town Hall.
