Clash of Clans Giant

In Clash of Clans the Giant is a large troop with a very high number of hit points, perfect to use as a tank drawing damage from defenses. This will allow more venerable high damage per second troops take down the buildings. Giants will target defenses first and are therefore a good unit to deploy at the start of a raid.

Giants can only attack ground targets and will generally avoid all buildings until the defenses have been destroyed. Walls can take a while to destroy due to their low damage, this is where Wall Breakers can come in useful.

The Giants downside is that they are very slow and have low damage compared to the number of housing spaces they take up (5 per Giant). A good tactic is to send a few healers behind the Giants to keep them alive as they slowly destroy all of the town’s defenses.

Because of their strength they are also a great unit to draw Mortar and Wizard Tower damage away from your other troops.
