Clash of Clans Archer

In Clash of Clans the Archer is the Tier 1 ranged unit. Archers have very low health and are vulnerable to all types of attacks. They are however cheap to build and take up only one capacity space at the Army Camp.

Archers can attack both ground and air targets and can also shoot over walls. Note that all ranged defense buildings have a greater range than Archers, so you cannot attack these buildings safely.

Due to their low health it is usually best to avoid compact groups of Archers. Spreading your Archers out will help minimise casualties from Mortars and Wizard Towers.

One tactic is to send out Barbarians or Giants first to act as a tank, drawing the damage away from the Archers.

Like the Barbarian, Archers will target the nearest building first regardless of the type, so care should be taken with their placing during an attack.
